What is Uploadsome?
Uploadsome.com is a free file hosting provider for webmasters. We offer online storage and sophisticated uploading and downloading tools for your personal needs. We strive to make download speeds as fast as possible.
Is this service free?
Yes. You can download and upload files for free with or without an account.
How long will my files be online?
For Guest users (No account) files will be removed after 30 days of inactivity. For Registered users files will never be removed and you also have the option to publish your files online for just a couple of minutes, days, weeks or longer.
How does Uploadsome store files?
Uploadsome uses a few different techniques to store files cheaply, efficiently and performantly. The servers which accept files from users have a hard disk drive cache of typically a few terabytes (4 to 16). This is where most of the files are kept. When a file is requested from another server it will look up where the file is stored using a lookup table in the shared database. It will then try to contact that server to request the file and proxy the data directly to the requesting user.
How much storage can I have?
Registered users have unlimited storage space. Guest users (No account) will have 1 GB free storage space.
Are there any file size limits?
Yes. We provide you with the ability to upload single files up to 5 GB with a Registered account. This amount will be increased in a later stage. For Guest users (No account) there is a max upload file size of 250 MB.
How do I upload files?
Click the upload file box to select the file(s) you want. Once the file upload is complete, we then give you a unique URL which can be shared with anyone else you want to access it.
Are there any download speed limitations?
Currently there aren't any download/bandwidth limitations.
Who can download my files?
Only users with who you share your download link can download your files.
How many downloads are allowed?
Currently we place no limit on the amount of files that can be downloaded. This means there are no bandwidth restrictions so your file upload can be accessed and downloaded continuously.
What files can I upload?
There is no limitation on the type of files you can upload. Whether you’re an image or video uploader, as long as no laws are being broken, you are free to use the service to upload files of any kind. Always follow our content policy for more information about which files are allowed to upload and which are not.
Can I share my download links?
Yes, click on the 'Share' button which will enable you to send a downloadable link to addresses of your choice, or simply copy the URL and send it in your own email to the recipient.
